This Authentic Hirbawi Kuffiyeh is made by the last standing Kuffiyeh factory in Hebron, Palestine. The Palestinian Kuffiyeh has long been an iconic symbol of the resistance and strength of the Palestinian people. It is now popularized as a show of support from people all around the World demonstrating their unity with the Palestinian cause.
Safad (صفد) is said to be founded by a son of Noah after the Great Flood. The capital of the Upper Galilee was surrounded by over 70 villages known for their olives, figs, grapes, and watermelons. Having once hosted a Muslim, a Christian and a Jewish community, who fled from the Ibiric peninsula to Palestine, Safad was ethnically cleansed and colonised in 1948 following the massacres inflicted on Palestinians in the neighboring village of Ein Zayton. Only 3 of the colorful and vibrant villages still exist. This Kufiya is dedicated to the village of Safad.
